Systems |
| Passive: |
|
A passive system is
one that does not use a wireless communications link from the vehicle to
the dispatch base. Data is captured in the vehicle and stored until it is
downloaded to be analyzed. The data can be directly downloaded to the
office computer or a laptop computer.

|
| Stand
Alone: |
|
GPS vehicle units
communicate over a radio or CDPD system to a base station where a computer
monitors fleet activity and processes captured data for post-analysis.
Compatible with all conventional/trunked radio systems, EDACS, CDPD,
Passport and APCO-25.

|
| Stand
Alone with IP Communication: |
|
GPS vehicle units
communicate over a radio system to a base radio location. The TRAKIT base
unit sends data through the TRAKIT IP (internet protocol) device to a
designated computer. There is no distance limitation allowing centralized
dispatching of fleets from any location.

|
| TRAKIT
RF/IP: |
|
In a TRAKIT RF/IP application,
the data from vehicles tracked by a local radio system is sent over the
internet to IDA's GLOBAL TRAKIT DATA CENTER. Users access information by
using any internet browser or with TRAKIT RF/IP Web-Client software.
|
|
| TRAKIT
NATIONWIDE: |
|
The TRAKIT
NATIONWIDE device in the vehicle captures locations and transmits data
packets over the nationwide GPRS data communications network to
IDA's GLOBAL TRAKIT DATA CENTER. The information is accessed by using a
common internet browser program or the TRAKIT NATIONWIDE Web-Client
software.

| STOP
ANALYSIS: |
|
It is important to
effective fleet management to know not only where the vehicles presently
are and the route taken but also to identify where they have been and how
long they remain at each place. STOP ANALYSIS references locations in the tracking
system as identified stopping points for fleet vehicles. These stopping
points can be customers, fueling depots, shipping destinations, garage,
etc. STOP ANALYSIS will generate reports that show the sequence of stops,
the name given to the stop, the arrival time and departure time and the
duration of time each vehicle spent at each stop. Analysis can be done not
only by vehicle but also by stop. Detailed reports can be generated that
show which vehicles visited a stop over a given time range. This data can
be exported for integration with costing, payroll and billing
applications. |
